WatchList

The default setting for OpenBook is operating in the WatchList mode.

The WatchList mode will record and store any voice call, SMS or MMS that is sent to, or received from a number on the WatchList.  The storage can be on Patronus Mobile's secure server or on your own server in the case of corporate users.

Any communication that is received from a "private" number will be treated as a WatchList number.

A WatchList is used primarily for evidence collection and is used in:

• Family Law
• Apprehended Violence Orders/Domestic Violence Orders
• Harassment Cases

By default when operating in WatchList mode anyone you add to the WatchList will be notified that they have been added to your phone and that any communication may be recorded for a legal matter.

There may be a reason why you or your solicitor feel that notifying the person may be inappropriate, so the SMS notification mode can be disabled.

We recommend that you speak to your solicitor before adding someone to a WatchList.
